Delicious and versatile

This chicken comes out great (although we don't cook the full 6-7 hours on low, depending on your slow cooker, it may be done much sooner, so use a thermometer to check along the way). We cut up some pepperoni slices into small pieces and add them to the sauce. You could also add sliced mushrooms, although I would probably add those later in the cooking process (maybe 30 minutes before serving) so that they don't get too soft. This dish works well on hearty rolls, but also with rice and it could be served with something like penne, also.
